CORY
MICHAELIS
Short bio of Cory Michaelis is that after teaching high school history and college readiness and preparatory classes for 12 years and doing comedy on the side, he is now a full-time comedian and substitute teaches on the side (mostly for the stories). Cory has opened for and been mentored by Louie Anderson who helped him record a 40-minute squeaky-clean comedy special "Bad Teacher" in Provo, Utah for DryBarComedy.com that has 20 million+ Facebook views. Additionally, his debut album "The Collage Dropout" was released June 19th, 2018 on 800 Pound Gorilla Records and reached #2 on both the Billboard and iTunes Charts (dang "Weird Al" Yankovic - didn't even know he did comedy any more).
Cory is a regular headliner in all of the clubs in the Pacific Northwest and a dozen others in the US and Canada. He works regularly at Brad Garrett's Comedy Club at the MGM Grand Casino in Las Vegas and has headlined many fine and not-so-fine comedy clubs, colleges, private corporate gigs, casinos, and weird bars and restaurants all over the country. He has done a bunch of prestigious comedy festivals and was a finalist in the Seattle International Comedy Competition. Okay, we fibbed a little - that wasn't the short bio, that was pretty much everything.
Come see Cory weave stories of his life and teaching into his fun, relatable, silly, and often thought-provoking stand-up act perfect for your college students.
