code of conduct

At BARK Entertainment, we do not tolerate unlawful harassment and discrimination of any kind of our employees, independent contractors (comedians), or customers. We firmly believe in respect for all and treatment of people based upon their ability not on an arbitrary or improper basis. That’s why we are committed to equal opportunity for all employees and performers. We do not let our employment or comedian selection decisions be influenced by such things such as race, creed, color, national origin, sexual orientation, sex, honorably discharged veteran or military status, the presence of any sensory, mental, or physical disability, or the use of a trained dog guide or service animal by a person with a disability, or any other basis protected by applicable law.

Audience Laughing

code of conduct

Physical Touch is prohibited beyond a quick handshake or a high-five. This policy has been put in place to ensure that no one feels uncomfortable. If you are in a consensual relationship with another comedian please let it be known to the staff and other comics so there is no concern or surprise. The club is now equipped with cameras to add to the safety and security of everyone.

Content of your set is 100% open to you. We do not believe in censorship, and encourage originality and comedic growth. However, there is no degrading or speaking inappropriately of or to another comedian on or off stage.

Harassment online and in person is unnecessary and against our Club’s policies. The comedy community is small, and while people will have differences of opinions, respect is important.

We take complaints regarding potential harassment, discrimination, and unprofessional conduct seriously and will conduct an investigation based upon the information provided. We believe in preserving the confidentiality of those who make complaints, subject to the need to conduct an investigation. We also oppose any efforts to retaliate against someone who has submitted a complaint in good faith. Depending on the outcome of the investigation, the violator may be subject to a suspension at the discretion of the company (30, 60, 90, or 120+ days). We also do not condone reverse harassment after a complaint has been filed or a disciplinary action taken.

No Nudity allowed on stage or in the showroom. Exposing yourself to others is a form of sexual harrassment/assault and will not be tolerated.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding violations of these policies or other potential harassment, discrimination, and unprofessional conduct, please contact us by emailing hr@Barkentertainment.com.
